Gator Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit youth development program where we teach life skills through the game of golf.
The Gator Junior Golf Program will get your child started in golf, so that they can get an early advantage on everything that golf has to offer. Our program will introduce your child to Golf Skills, Life Skills, Golf Rules & Etiquette, and Team-Building Exercise Activities. Gator Junior Golf currently offers three levels of classes plus a playing program for junior golfers.
The PeeWee Level is a great introduction to golf for kids aged 5-7 years old. In this skill level, students are introduced to the basic concepts of golf in a fun-filled atmosphere with games and activities. Students in the PeeWee Level will be exposed to simplified golf terminology to kickstart their golf experience.
The Beginner Level is a great introduction to golf for kids ages 8 and up. In this skill level, students are introduced to golf skills, life skills, and golf rules and etiquette. Students in the Beginner Level will become proficient in essential life skills, such as introducing oneself and displaying sportsmanship both on and off the golf course.
The Intermediate Level is a slightly more advanced skill level for kids ages 9 and up. In this skill level, students are taught and expected to demonstrate higher levels of life skills, such as how to ask good questions and how to make decisions on and off the golf course. Students in the Intermediate Level will become proficient in higher levels of golf terminology, rules, and golf swing fundamentals.
The Playing Level is an extension of the curriculum from the Intermediate class. It is designed to continue to challenge students' golf knowledge and skills. Interpersonal and social skills are more frequently tested and evaluated in this skill level. Advanced students will have the ability to start and carry on conversations with fellow golfers.
