Scorekeeping Review

In order for your scores to count each week, be sure to follow the below scorekeeping guidelines:

  1. You will receive a scorecard with YOUR name on it. Be sure to exchange your scorecard with your opponent’s on the first tee.

  2. You should record your and your opponent’s score on the tee box of the following hole.

  3. At the end of your round, return to the scoring table and read, aloud, the scores you recorded for your opponent. He will do the same for your scores. If either of you have a dispute, you can resolve the dispute now.

  4. Once both you and your opponent have confirmed each others’ scores, properly sign the scorecards. You should sign under “Attest” on your scorecard and “Scorer” on your opponent’s scorecard. Your opponent should sign under “Scorer” on your scorecard and “Attest” on his scorecard.

  5. Once both you and your opponent have signed scorecards, you can turn both scorecards into the Quiz Box.

  6. If scorecards are not signed properly, you will be disqualified for the day.

Tips to Succeed

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to complete the 5-question quiz each week. Whatever score you receive on the quiz will be deducted from your submitted scorecard.

  • Try to attend all weeks 2-9. If you attend all 8 of these weeks, you receive a 3-point perfect attendance deduction from your final score.

  • Stay on top of homework. If you complete any given homework, you receive an additional 3 points off your final submitted score.

  • Practice during the week. This will help improve your game and then your scores!
