Golf Class FAQ's

  • Does my child need to have prior golfing experience to start in the Gator Junior Golf program?

    • No prior experience is required!  We have a skill level for everyone!

  • Do I need golf clubs?

    • We have golf clubs available to all participants to use during class.

  • Where do I go?

    • We will typically meet at the putting green next to the clubhouse. If you ever have a question, the front desk in the clubhouse is your best resource. The latter half of the season we meet on the driving range.

  • What should my child wear and bring?

    • Collared shirt, or just a nice shirt and closed-toe athletic shoes. If it’s sunny, we recommend bringing a hat.

    • If your child has golf clubs, please bring them. Otherwise, we have clubs for use in class. Sunscreen and a water bottle are recommended.

  • What if it rains?

    • We’ll send an email and/or text message 1 hour before class starts if a class is rained out.

    • Rainout policy: We allow up to 3 cancellations due to rainouts. If we have more than 3 classes cancelled, we will have makeup lessons after the end of the season. We will host a minimum of 7 out of 10 golf classes during the season. Despite some rainouts during the season, our participants will receive plenty of instruction time necessary to learn and practice the concepts in our curriculum.
