Sponsors Growing the Game
Here at Gator Junior Golf, we take immense pride in providing our students with opportunities to grow and flourish in our program. Aside from developing countless golf swings at courses across the county, our life skills curriculum teaches our students critical principles that they can take with them for the rest of their lives. Our staff is well-versed in all of them – sportsmanship, integrity, honesty, perseverance. But it is the latter that we at Gator Junior Golf never foresaw defining these past few months.
Perseverance can be defined as a persistence in doing something despite difficulties or delays in achieving success. It is an honorable characteristic, and those that exemplify it should be gifted nothing but high praise.
At the start of the pandemic, our staff was forced to make the difficult decision to postpone the final few weeks of our Spring season. Weeks later the season resumed, but under strict guidelines to maximize the safety of our students, parents and coaches. Learning from those rescheduled final weeks, we at Gator Junior Golf have since comprised a fall curriculum based entirely around the well-being of our extended family.
We can now firmly say that our fall season is just around the corner, and we could not be more excited to finally get back to what we love doing: growing the game of golf.
Our staff has done a praiseworthy job of sailing our organization through the brute of a global pandemic. But it is our sponsors that truly keep us afloat. Throughout all of our initiatives and the most recent adversity we all faced, a fine group of extraordinary companies have maintained steadfast support of our cause.
We thank our supporters during the challenging time, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Wadsworth Foundation, Walmart, the Mike Sullivan Scholarship Fund, and Infotech.
Infotech in particular has been a critical donor to our program, and we would not be the organization we have become without their invaluable assistance.
Despite the obstacles the world has thrown in our direction, our Fall 2020 season is shaping up to be our most successful one yet. Six of the Gainesville area’s finest teaching professionals will return to our program to lead instruction across four locations. Furthering our Grow the Game initiative, we will actively continue our longstanding partnerships with Girl’s Place, Reichert House, Special Olympics, and UF Health.
None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors, and for that we at Gator Junior Golf offer our overwhelming gratitude.
Warm regards,
Gator Junior Golf
